A Lufkin man and a Henderson man both died in a two-vehicle crash late Friday on U.S. Highway 259, about 12 miles north of Nacogdoches, according to a press release from Texas Department of Public Safety Sgt. David Hendry.

Victor Cecilio-Rodriguez, 38, of Lufkin, and Huey Henderson, 64, of Henderson, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 9:38 p.m, the report states. Three passengers traveling with Huey — Leah Henderson, 63, and two 15-year-old passengers — were transported to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.

Cecelio-Rodriguez was traveling south in the inside lane on U.S. 259 in a 2003 Ford SUV when he drove over the center of the highway for unknown reasons and struck a northbound 2014 Cadillac SUV driven by Henderson head-on, the report states.

The crash remains under investigation.
