The Tyler County Sheriff's Office is hunting for the alleged murderer of a Zavalla couple who were gunned down at a Woodville-area church Saturday afternoon.
Nathan "Brad" Maddox, 35, and Krystal Maddox, 30, were at Mount Carmel Baptist Church for supervised visitation of Nathan Maddox's child when the incident occurred, according to a Tyler County Sheriff's Office press release.
At 12:25 p.m. Saturday, the sheriff's office received a shots fired call with a report of one person down. When deputies arrived, they found the couple dead.
The suspect or suspects had left the scene, and as of midnight Saturday the hunt for their alleged killer was ongoing, according to a sheriff's office official.
