Q: One of my friends told me the Astros are opening the season at home, but that the game is on April 6. I told him that couldn't be right, that it must be the home opener and that we must be starting the season on the road because Opening Day is usually March 31 or April 1. But I just went to the Astros Web site and my friend is right — we're playing Spring Training games through April 4 and don't start the season until the 6th. So what is the deal?

Q: The Lufkin Daily News combined two related questions from readers. One reader asked: I was at a restaurant and noticed the workers didn't wear gloves while handling the tacos. I asked the manager about that and he said the health department does not require them to wear gloves while handling the taco shells. As a health care worker I know that there are many things that can be passed in this manner. Is this accurate?
