Pre-K program at risk as Lufkin ISD stands to lose $600K: Sequestration could result in billions being cut from education

As education advocates around the nation race to stop the impending sequestration that could result in billions of dollars being cut from national education programs over the next decade, Lufkin ISD Superintendent Roy Knight said his district is preparing for the potential impact of yet another lost funding resource that could see it lose $600,000 by the 2013-14 school year.
