Justin Garcia, 18, was arrested Monday morning on a charge of no driver’s license after reportedly running his truck into a speed limit pole in the 400 block of North Timberland Drive.

Phelan Perry, 24, of Lufkin was arrested Thursday morning at a store in the 3000 block of South John Redditt Drive after allegedly shoplifting video games. When officers arrived, they also found him in possession of a marijuana pipe.

Nicholas Smith, 28, was arrested Monday after reportedly assaulting his father.

A gas meter reader reported being threatened by a homeowner while trying to read a meter Monday.

Money was reportedly stolen from a Relay for Life jar Monday in the 1900 block of North Timberland Drive.

A stove was reported stolen from a rent house Monday morning in the 100 block of Platt Road.

A man reported that his daughter’s boyfriend threatened to shoot him and his wife Monday evening.

A man has allegedly been stalking and threatening his children’s mother.

Someone reported being assaulted on Pershing Avenue Monday afternoon.

A man reported that someone used his NetSpend debit card number in Missouri.

Counterfeit money was used at store Monday in the 400 block of North Timberland Drive.

Someone reported receiving sexually obscene messages Monday in the 1000 block of Ellis Avenue.

The Lufkin Police Department arrested Travis Elliott, 33, on four traffic warrants Monday.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made five arrests late Monday and early Tuesday. Arrests and charges included: David Forrester, 41, bench warrant; Brocoskey Maxie Jr., 22, probation revocation; Adrian Reyna-Contreras, 25, ICE hold and probation revocation; John Barefield, 22, possession of marijuana warrant; and Richard Tullos, 47, harassment warrant.

The Angelina County Jail housed 217 inmates as of 6 p.m. Tuesday.
