Nathan “Speedracer” Cannon, 29, of Lufkin was arrested at the Angelina County Adult Probation Office Wednesday morning on 10 traffic warrants that included charges of speeding, driving the wrong way on a one-way road, no insurance, driving while license invalid, no insurance and no seat belt.
Cannon remained in the Angelina County jail Thursday morning on a collective bond of $4,599. He also owes $2,085 for court costs in five of those cases, according to county records.
Darden “Psyco” Lewis, 37, of Chester, was arrested Wednesday night, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia-marijuana after reportedly passing out in his truck outside Little Caesar’s Pizza. While searching his vehicle, officers reportedly found a small baggie of marijuana and rolling papers. He was released the following day on a $500 bond.
A tire tool was reportedly thrown through a repo man’s truck window as he drove around the Englewood subdivision around 3 a.m. Thursday looking for a vehicle he had been ordered to repossess.
A woman reported that someone she knows slashed her tire early Wednesday morning in the 1300 block of Durant Road.
A Christmas tree, silver saddle and three lawn chairs were reported stolen from a barn entered Wednesday afternoon in the 500 block of Casey Road.
A Marlin 336 rifle with a broken forearm and $200 worth of school books were reported stolen from a man’s vehicle while he was at work Wednesday in the 100 block of North Timberland Drive.
Someone called the Angelina County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday morning to report there were dogs in and around their goat pen.
Medication including Alprazolam, Hydrocodone and Tramadol were reported stolen from a home entered earlier this week while the owner was away.

Arrests and charges included: Jacob Harris Jordan, 30, assault causing bodily injury/family violence warrant; George Ortiz Sr., 49, order of confinement; and Tammy Davis, 27, driving while license invalid and no insurance.
The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made three arrests late Wednesday and early Thursday. Arrests and charges included: Bradley Maxie, 24, order of surrender; Mark Pool, 30, judgment; and Eduardo Riojas Jr., 19, adjudication of guilt.
The Texas Department of Public Safety made two arrests late Wednesday and early Thursday. Arrests and charges included: Javier Martinez Jr., 27, three traffic warrants; and Daniel Houston, 33, adjudication of guilt.
The Huntington Police Department arrested Mary Dirk, age not available, on a charge of criminal trespass Thursday.
The Angelina County Jail housed 211 inmates as of midday Thursday.
