With just two weeks left, more than 70 teams are still needed to make “Mission Possible/Angelina” a go.

Mission Possible is a faith-based effort to bring together teams from local churches, youth groups, school organizations and ministry groups to show the love of Christ to the people of Angelina County, according to Angelina County Court-at-Law Judge Bob Inselmann, who is spearheading the effort.

“On Saturday, March 29, we will send teams across Angelina County to build wheelchair ramps, do small home repairs, paint, clean yards, haul off trash and do other projects that we can accomplish in one day,” he said.

There are 100 community service jobs from “Allentown to Zavalla” up for grabs with only 35 teams signed on as of last week, Inselmann said. Job tasks include washing windows, cleaning/sweeping, indoor painting, moving dirt/digging; raking leaves, trimming trees/hedges, outdoor painting, power washing and/or cleaning gutters.

“To make this happen, we desperately need more teams,” Inselmann said.

Volunteers can sign up as individuals or teams of 4-12 people.
