Lufkin police responded to an altercation where two men were reportedly stabbed or cut in the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Drive on Tuesday according to a Lufkin Police report. Two men were fighting, and a third attempted to break them up. The man attempting to stop the fight and one of the men fighting were injured. Both men said they did not wish to press charges.

A mother in the 2000 block of FM 843 reported her oldest child took her younger child to another state in December. The children’s father went to the location and brought the younger child home. The mother wishes to file kidnapping charges against her older child.

Family members in the 200 block of Bonita Street reportedly got into an argument that turned physical over a cellphone bill on Tuesday.

Someone reportedly stole an Alaskan Husky from its owner’s front yard in the 800 block of Glenn Avenue Tuesday.

A woman in the 1500 block of Copeland Street reported someone broke her vehicle window with a rock on Wednesday. One of her neighbor’s vehicles also was broken into and items were taken.

A woman reported she believes a man she knows took her vehicle without her permission Wednesday.

The Lufkin Police Department made five arrests late Tuesday and early Wednesday. Arrests and charges included: Kalandre Kytrell Adams, 28, of Palestine, Harris County warrant for murder; Mikle Lee Samuel, 57, of Lufkin, warrant for theft of property; Cyrus Bass, 35, of Lufkin, warrants for theft, failure to appear and public intoxication; Angelo Mozell Davis, 41, of Lufkin, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with warrants for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic violations; and Kwame Phlegm, 21, of Spring, traffic violations.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made five arrests late Tuesday and early Wednesday. Arrests and charges included: Raymundo S. Gutierrez, age unavailable, of Lufkin, traffic violations; Kurt Steven Wagoner, 44, of Lufkin, possession of a controlled substance; Robert Curtis Jackson, 63, of Lufkin, warrant for theft of property; Shawn Ray Perkins, 36, of Huntington, warrants for sex offenders duty to register and burglary of a building; and Markus Lee Woods, 33, of Lufkin, warrants for possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, failure to appear, possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic violations.

The Huntington Police Department arrested Ronnie Clayton Schafer, 29, of Pollok, on a possession of a controlled substance charge.

Angelina County Adult Probation arrested Wayne Eddie Williams, 55, of Lufkin, on a warrant for driving while intoxicated.

The Angelina County Jail housed 249 inmates as of 5 p.m. Wednesday.
