A report of a Lufkin man alleged to be drunk and asleep behind the wheel in the Whataburger drive-thru led to his arrest Monday afternoon.

Don Sanders, 48, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated Monday afternoon in the 100 block of South John Redditt Drive, a police report stated. He was released from jail the same day on a $1,500 bond. According to county records, this is his second DWI charge.

A work truck was reported stolen from a business overnight Monday in the 4000 block of Ellen Trout Drive.

A man was reportedly trespassing at a convenience store, bothering employees Monday morning in the 1200 block of South Chestnut Street.

A TV was reported stolen from a shed broken into Monday in the 1100 block of North John Redditt Drive.

The contents of a Houston-bound UPS package were reported stolen Monday in the 3000 block of South John Redditt Drive.

An unattended death was reported Monday in the 2400 block of Hanks Street. The person reportedly died of natural causes.

A man’s intoxicated employee reportedly threatened him with a knife and then slashed his trailer tires Monday in the 700 block of Hoskins Street.

Dominga Gonzales, 27, was arrested on two warrants following an accident in which she was found at fault Monday night in the 2400 block of Paula Avenue.

Burt Stripling, 47, and James Flesher, 48, were arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at a convenience store Tuesday morning in the 1000 block of South Medford Drive.

The Lufkin Police Department made 12 arrests late Monday and Tuesday. Arrests and charges included: Frances Taylor, 28, warrants; LaTycia Sterns, 21, warrants; Zacosric Houston, 24, warrants; Jacqueline Sessions, no age, theft; Dominique Bryan, 27, warrants; Jonathan Guitierrez, 23, warrants; Craig Osaw, 24, public intoxication; Jacarvys Cooper, 18, warrants; Stevenski Ford, 21, adjudication of guilt; Ponciano Diaz III, 21, warrant; Jose Espinoza, 24, expired license, no insurance and invalid license; and Andres Diaz, 20, public intoxication.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made four arrests late Monday and Tuesday. Arrests and charges included: Dale Hill, 44, bond forfeiture; Clayton Gilmore, 32, probation revocation; Dustin Irvin, no age, public intoxication; and Kenneth Hale, 50, evading arrest, resisting arrest, and a bond surrender.

The Pct. 1 constable arrested Michael Boddie, 37, on a charge of driving while license invalid Monday.

The Diboll Police Department made two arrests late Monday and Tuesday. Arrests and charges included: Artemus Cluff, 23, warrant; and Edgar Ramos, 28, resisting arrest.

The Hudson Police Department arrested Carla Garza, 24, on a charge of no driver’s license Monday.

The Huntington Police Department made three arrests late Monday and Tuesday. Arrests and charges included: John Veriato, 38, no driver’s license; Ryan Watson, no age, public intoxication; and Kenneth Cummings Jr., 44, expired inspection and registration and no insurance.

The Angelina County Jail housed 205 inmates as of 5 p.m. Tuesday.
