Megan Faust, 17, and Charlotte Moses, 19, were arrested and charged with shoplifting from several stores Friday in the Lufkin Mall. Stolen items included: Elmo panties, a women’s top, racoon, penguin and owl Ty Beanie Babies, Claire’s pink/white makeup brushes, and several Claire’s belly rings, one of which has not been recovered yet because it is still being worn.

Someone reportedly broke a kitchen window Friday in the 200 block of Vincent Street.

Someone’s son took their Chevrolet Tahoe without permission between Thursday and Friday in the 700 block of Everett Street.

Three tires were slashed early Friday in the 200 block of East Denman Avenue. Two of the tires were on a Chevy Malibu, and one of the tires was on a Kia Rio.

A wallet was reported lost Friday in the 2200 block of South First Street. The wallet was possibly left on top of a car as the owner was leaving.

Someone reportedly broke the driver’s side back window out of a fire marshal’s truck parked at City Hall between Thursday and Friday.

A garage door was damaged during the repossession of a vehicle Friday in the 100 block of Shady Bend Drive.

Someone attempted to pay their gas bill with a counterfeit $20 Friday at a local business in the 100 block of North Timberland Drive.

The Burke Center received multiple phone calls Friday from someone who kept cursing at their employees.

William Johnson, 25, attempted to walk out of a store in the 2500 block of Daniel McCall Drive with a Ninja Pro Blender without paying for it Friday.

A black purse containing credit cards was reportedly stolen from the owner’s Chevrolet Suburban Friday in the 1300 block of North Medford Drive.

A wallet containing a driver’s license, a Social Security card and $2 was found in the 2500 block of Daniel McCall Drive.

A woman’s ex-boyfriend allegedly assaulted her about a week ago in the 2600 block of South First Street.

Machelle Vasquez, 58, was taken into custody for shoplifting Friday in the 1800 block of West Frank Avenue.

Mark Smith, 47, and Shirley Young, 50, were arrested and charged for possession of drug paraphernalia late Friday in the 700 block of Humason Avenue

Joshua Husband, 21, was arrested after fighting another male in a parking lot in the 1000 block of South Medford Drive early Saturday.

Someone was allegedly assaulted, and his tires were slashed early Saturday in the 1200 block of West Frank Avenue.

The Lufkin Police Department made four other arrests late Friday through Saturday. Arrests and charges included: Phyllis Washington, 52, probation revocation for theft by check; Rocio Barrera, 46, theft by check; Crystal Longoria, 37, two warrants for public intoxication; and Reginal Reggie, 31, resisting arrest and theft.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made five arrests late Friday through Saturday. Arrests and charges included: Daniel Williams, 50, hindering apprehension; Gerardo Segura, 23, order of surrender for criminal mischief; Matthew Lightfoot, 19, order of surrender for violating protective order; Wallace Compean, 36, assault/family violence; and Rhonda Tillar, 30, bond revocation for credit card/debit card abuse.

The Texas Department of Public Safety made two arrests Saturday. Arrests and charges included: David Martinez-Willis, 21, burglary of a building; and Ordietrick Westbrook, 25, driving while intoxicated.

The Hudson Police Department arrested Jerry Taylor, 23, on charges of possession of marijuana and seven traffic warrants Saturday.

The Angelina County Jail housed 236 inmates as of 10 p.m. Saturday.
