A woman said her husband forced his way into their home by pushing her on Thursday. The wife said the man was upset because he had been told his she was using voodoo on him.

A woman in the 100 block of South Chestnut Street said she stopped outside a closed convenience store about 11 p.m. Thursday and that two black men approached her, opened her car door and pointed a pistol at her face. She said she began to scream and that one man told her to be quiet and the other said he thought the woman was “his girl,” the LPD report on the incident states. They walked away without demanding anything, she said.

A man said his ex-wife may have taken his dog out of his backyard without his permission earlier this month.

Someone located an ATV around Rivercrest Road on Thursday that appeared to have been hotwired and abandoned. Later in the day, someone called and reported batteries off of trailers at a hunting club in the Rivercrest area had been stolen, along with a four-wheeler.

A deputy found a backpack on the shoulder of FM 3150 while searching for stray livestock in the area on Thursday. Inside the backpack were Xanax and baggies of marijuana.

Someone stole a television in the 1100 block of South Timberland Drive on Thursday.

A man said someone used his personal identification to open an online checking account on Thursday.

A man attempted to enter a home to retrieve property on Thursday but the homeowner didn’t want him there. The man was issued a criminal trespass warning.

An Angelina County Sheriff’s Office sex offender registrar obtained information that a registered sex offender is not living in the location he had reported. An investigation into the matter is underway.

The Lufkin Police Department made five arrests late Thursday and early Friday. Arrests and charges included: Henry Raymond, 45, of Lufkin, solicitation in roadway and a warrant for solicitation in roadway; Roland Dean Ingram, 35, of Lufkin, theft; Kalin Lynde Brister, 38, of Lufkin, theft and warrants for traffic violations; Jacob Preson Lynch, 25, of Lumberton, warrants for public intoxication and theft; and Mark Steven Moulder Sr., 59, of Lufkin, warrants for criminal trespass and traffic violations.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made 11 arrests late Thursday and early Friday. Arrests and charges included: David Parrish Jr., 46, of Lufkin, possession of drug paraphernalia; Miranda Camille Skeans, 31, of Chireno, warrant for manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance; Michele Reeves, 24, of Lufkin, warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia and no driver’s license; Christopher Randall Buster, 26, of Pollok, displaying expired license plates; Israel Lee Cole, 41, of Lufkin, assault/family violence; Christopher George Erwin, 34, of Lufkin, possession of a controlled substance and traffic violations; Jessica Dawn Hayslip, 36, of Lufkin, tampering with/fabricating physical evidence, possession of a controlled substance and warrants for theft and traffic violations; Victor Orlando Redmon Jr., 27, of Hudson, warrant for a parole violation; Jasmine Lanelle Smith, 28, of Lufkin, warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia, bail jumping, failure to appear and traffic violations; Xavious D’quan Irvine, 23, of Lufkin, warrant for robbery; and Dekeisha Shante Maxie, 22, of Lufkin, warrant for assault/family violence.

The Zavalla Police Department made two arrests late Thursday and early Friday. Arrests and charges included: Edwin Simon Jr., age unavailable, of Diboll, warrant for theft; and Michael Lynn Phipps, 28, of Diboll, evading arrest with a vehicle and warrants for open container and traffic violations.

Angelina County Adult Probation arrested Trevor Parks, 25, of Lufkin, on a warrant for criminal trespass.

The Angelina County Jail housed 249 inmates as of 6 p.m. Friday.
