A TV was reportedly stolen Saturday in the 400 block of North Sixth Street. According to the Lufkin Police report, this was the second burglary this week after an Xbox console was allegedly stolen Tuesday.
Someone allegedly tried to break into a house using an axe Saturday in the 1400 block of Avalon Drive.
Alejandro Arredondo, 18, and Chrstopher Rodrigues, 17, were caught smoking marijuana behind a store in the 4200 block of South Medford Drive early Sunday, according to a Lukfin Police report. They were arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Three people allegedly assaulted a woman Saturday in the 100 block of East Burke Avenue.
A leaf blower was reportedly stolen from a woman’s outdoor laundry room between Friday and Saturday in the 1200 block of Grant Avenue.
Rhonda Humphries, 39, was arrested and charged with public intoxication while walking down the road Saturday in the 300 block of North Timberland Drive.
Stolen lawn mowers were reportedly being used for parts in the 1900 block of North Raguet Street between Friday and Saturday.
Jonathan Randle, 30, was found with a crack pipe early Sunday in the 900 block of Rowe Avenue. He was arrested and charged for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Someone stole a GPS from a Kia Soul Saturday in the 1200 block of Idylwood Drive.
Kimberly Parker, 26, was arrested and charged with public intoxication at a store in the 1900 block of East Denman Avenue early Saturday.
There was a theft Saturday in the 2100 block of South First Street.
Brian Kailimai, 26, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated late Saturday in the 300 block of North John Redditt Drive.
The Lufkin Police Department made two other arrests late Saturday and early Sunday. Arrests and charges included: David Cook, 56, a warrant for no driver’s license and theft by check; and Thomas Dudley, 41, two warrants for no insurance, two warrants for no valid inspection sticker, and one warrant for speeding.
The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made five arrests early Sunday. Arrests and charges included: Charles Runnels, 37, theft; Tony Hall, 48, possession of drug paraphernalia and no valid driver’s license; Xavier Baldwin, 21, no driver’s license; Roberto Tamez, 45, parole violation for possession of controlled substances; and Hiram Murray, 29, defective tail lamp and probation revocation for driving while intoxicated with an open container.
The Angelina County Jail housed 237 inmates as of 3 p.m. Sunday.
