Two burglaries were reported to Lufkin Police on Saturday.

One home was burglarized in the 3500 block of North John Redditt Drive. The burglary was discovered when the homeowner returned home Saturday afternoon.

A second burglary occurred in the 1200 block of Southwood Drive Saturday evening when the homeowner discovered that someone had entered the garage that is attached to the residence and took a set of Taylor-Made golf clubs.

Two people entered the Sears store in Lufkin Mall Saturday morning and allegedly took several items.

An unknown subject stole a cell phone Saturday evening in the 100 block of Cotton Square.

A computer was reported stolen from a backpack in a church gymnasium located in the 100 block of East Bremond Avenue Thursday afternoon.

Burglary of a vehicle was reported Saturday night in a parking lot in the 4600 block of South Medford Drive.

Several assaults were reported after a group of people got into a fight Saturday night in the 300 block of Lazy Oaks Street.

A woman reportedly assaulted the father of her child who was also listed as her ex-boyfriend Saturday night in the 900 block of South Chestnut Street.

Wreckless driving was reported by a citizen Saturday night in the 300 block of West Frank Avenue that resulted in a subject being arrested for driving while intoxicated (3rd or more).

Criminal mischief was reported in the 400 block of West Grove Street Sunday morning when a man threw an unknown object through the back window of a parked vehicle.

A man who was placed under arrest was additionally charged with assaulting a public servant Thursday night in the 1200 block of West Frank when he allegedly kicked a police officer at a local hospital during a mandatory blood draw to determine blood alcohol content.

A person was arrested Sunday morning in the 200 block of Bonner Street when officers discovered he was in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Criminal mischief was reported Sunday morning in the 500 block of Culverhouse when an unknown person threw an object through the window of a house.

A brick was reportedly thrown through a window Sunday morning in the 900 block of Moore Street.

Subjects were arrested Sunday morning in the 1200 block of Briarwood Drive when they allegedly attempted to evade police officers and interfere with their public duties.

Beer was reportedly stolen Sunday morning from a convenience store in the 1200 block of South Chestnut.

Lufkin Police made four arrests between Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Arrests and charges included Willie George Settler, 29, assault; Katelyn Marie Stephenson, 23, unlawfully carrying weapon, theft, possession of drug paraphernalia; Nicholas Baker, 24, theft; and Lufis Leshay Smith, 34, criminal non-support.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made two arrests Saturday and Sunday. Arrests and charges include Justin Jones, 18, failure to identify; and John David Crumpton, 46, deadly conduct/discharge of a firearm.

The Hudson Police Department arrested Kenneth Dewayne Wilson, 21, Saturday on charges of possession of a controlled substance and purchase/furnish alcohol to a minor.

The Texas Department of Public Safety made three arrest Saturday and Sunday. Arrests and charges include Guadalupe Mendoza, 52, driving while intoxicated; Dakota Gabbard, 19, assault/family violence; and John Rodriguez, no valid driver’s license, no safety belt.

The Zavalla Police Department made two arrests Saturday and Sunday. Arrests and charges include Charles Evans, 20, possession of a controlled substance; and Brandon Wayne Bennett, 20, possession of a controlled substance.

The Angelina County Jail housed 232 inmates as of Sunday afternoon.
