Someone in the 300 block of Ramsey Road said an ex-employee took several firearms and refuses to return them Wednesday.

A woman in the 1200 block of Benton Drive said two big dogs have been at her home since Wednesday.

A woman in the 300 block of Holmes Road said someone stole her son’s bicycle overnight Wednesday.

Animal control responded to an injured dog struck by a vehicle at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 north and FM 2021.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incarcerated subject accused of tampering or destroying government documents.

A woman said her friend assaulted her Wednesday.

A man said he found some belongings on a trail in a local park in the 900 block of Old Moffett Road Wednesday.

A woman said her mother forged her name on government documents Wednesday.

The Lufkin Police Department made five arrests late Wednesday and Thursday. Arrests and charges included: Tomasa Tadeo Tellez, age unavailable, of Lufkin, no driver’s license; Arnold Segura, 55, of Lufkin, Polk County warrant for aggravated sexual assault of a child; Samarius Johnson, 20, of Lufkin, warrant for failure to identify; Kenneth Daniel Smith, 49, of Conroe, warrants for five counts of public intoxication and traffic violations; and Julia Shawentay Goodwin, 38, of Lufkin, failure to identify.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made eight arrests late Wednesday and Thursday. Arrests and charges included: Ruben Luna Jr., 39, of Lufkin, warrants for unlawfully carrying weapon, bail jumping and failure to appear and a federal hold; Jennifer Fondren Bellamy, 41, of Lufkin, warrant for possession of a controlled substance; Daniel Herrera, 26, of Dickinson, warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia; Zachary Jay Nichols, 48, of Zavalla, warrants for possession of a controlled substance, forgery of financial instrument and driving while license invalid; James Earl Goolsby Jr., 63, of Lufkin, warrant for criminal trespass; Christopher Landon Hardy, 43, of San Augustine, warrants for assault/family violence and driving while intoxicated; Thomas Louis Cheatham, 37, of Corrigan, warrants for engaging in organized criminal activity and burglary of habitation; and Andrea Latrice Morgan, 45, of Lufkin, warrant for invasive visual recording in bathroom/dressing room.

The Texas Department of Public Safety made two arrests late Wednesday and Thursday. Arrests and charges included: Ashley Nicole Thompson, 28, of Lufkin, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana; and James Earnest Smith, 70, of Lufkin, possession of a controlled substance and a warrant for driving while intoxicated.

Angelina County Adult Probation arrested Greggory William Foster, 20, of Lufkin warrant obstructing highway passageway.

The Angelina County Jail housed 217 inmates as of 4 p.m. Thursday.
