Someone stole a mop bucket, valued at $60, Friday in the 500 block of North Brentwood Drive.

Lufkin police arrested Kendrick Demone Wortham, 24, of Lufkin, after a call of a disturbance in progress Friday afternoon in the 200 block of South Second Street. Wortham reportedly evaded officers on foot and was found to be in possession of a stolen handgun. Wortham is charged with theft, unlicensed possession of a firearm by felon, evading arrest/detention, possession of drug paraphernalia and warrants for two counts of evading arrest, according to jail records.

Someone stole a Sportsman 3000-watt generator, valued at $800, from a Ford Super Duty pickup truck parked at a hotel in the 4400 block of South First Street overnight Thursday.

Someone broke into an unlocked Lexus RX in the 2400 block of West Frank Avenue and stole a Roots brand backpack overnight Friday.

Someone broke into a home in the 3400 block of Nerren Avenue Friday.

The Lufkin Police Department made three other arrests late Friday and early Saturday. Arrests and charges included: Elizabeth Damiana Castillo, 27, of Diboll, public intoxication; Gabriel Allen Compean, 31, of Lufkin, public intoxication; and Edwardo Reyes, 52, of Lufkin, possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made 10 arrests late Friday and early Saturday. Arrests and charges included: Jonathan David Williams, age unavailable, of Georgetown, warrants for motion to revoke probation for timber purchase as trustee with intent to defraud and bench warrants for driving while intoxicated; Timothy Weyland Liles, 53, of Lufkin, commitment/aggravated assault with deadly weapon warrant; Candice Jean Hudspeth, age unavailable, of Lufkin, assault; Jennifer Isabel Mireles, 26, of Lufkin, commitment/accident involving injury/death warrant; Edgar Eluid Portillo, age unavailable, of Lufkin, warrant for possession of a controlled substance; Lance John Thompson, 26, of Lufkin, no driver’s license and expired registration; Delia Avila, age unavailable, of Lufkin, possession of drug paraphernalia and warrant for motion to adjudicate guilt for burglary; Dalton Blake Lilley, 21, of Lufkin, evading arrest/detention with vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia; Cody Lynn Brown, 27, of Lufkin, DWI; and Eric David Acevedo, 36, of Diboll, assault and warrants for no insurance and expired license plates.

The Texas Department of Public Safety made two arrests late Friday and early Saturday. Arrests and charges included: Jennifer W. Burns, 38, of Lufkin, no driver’s license, no insurance, failure to stop and give information and DWI/second offense; and David Leroy Kranzler, age unavailable, of Pollok, driving while intoxicated.

The Angelina County Jail housed 219 inmates as of 4 p.m. Saturday.
