Lufkin Police arrested a woman on a charge of public intoxication around 2:30 p.m. Saturday after she caused a disturbance in the emergency room of Memorial Hospital, in the 1200 block of West Frank Avenue, according to a police report.

Amanda Alcantar, 23, was arrested after refusing treatment, the report stated.

Justin Smith, 22, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication at 6:45 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Hospital in the 1200 block of West Frank Avenue after being involved in a disturbance there, according to the police report.

Carlos Perez-Angulo, 53, was arrested on a charge of public intoxication Saturday afternoon in the 100 block of North John Redditt Drive. He was consuming alcohol on the premises of an establishment licensed for off-premises consumption, a police report stated.

Erik Bass, 27, was arrested for allegedly stealing 21 boxes of over-the-counter sleep aid medication valued at $141 from Walmart in the 2500 block of Daniel McCall Drive early Sunday, according to a Lufkin Police report. He was also charged with evading arrest.

Three people were arrested in a parking lot located in the 100 block of North Brentwood Drive Saturday evening. One man was arrested on a charge of public intoxication, one woman on warrants, and another woman on a charge of no driver’s license.

A motorcycle tarp was reported stolen in the 3300 block of Nerren Avenue sometime between Sept. 20-29.

Assault/family violence was reported Saturday afternoon on Brentwood Drive. A man claimed that a woman slapped him during an argument.

Exhaust pipes were reported stolen in the 800 block of South Raguet Street sometime between Friday and Saturday.

A woman reported receiving harassing phone calls and text messages from her children’s father and his girlfriend.

Assault was reported in the 900 block of Willow Oak Drive Saturday afternoon when two cousins were arguing and one spit on the other.

Theft was reported in the 1800 block of Sayers Street Saturday evening. A woman reported that a friend had taken $30 from her bedroom wile she was gone.

A woman told police she was assaulted by the father of her child Saturday night on North John Redditt Drive.

A man told police he was assaulted by his father Saturday night.

A restaurant in the 400 block of Atkinson Drive reported that chicken and hot sauce had been stolen Saturday night.

A woman told police that her sister-in-law scratched her on the face Saturday night on Atkinson Drive.

An Apple iPhone valued at $500 was stolen from a Chevrolet pickup Saturday night while it was parked at the gas pumps of a gas station in the 1000 block of South John Redditt Drive.

Assorted articles of women’s underwear were stolen Saturday night from a store in the 4600 block of South Medford Drive.

Harassment was reported Saturday night in the 1800 block of Sayers Street.

A woman told police that her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend assaulted her Saturday night in the 1900 block of South First Street.

The owner of a Mazda RX told police that someone hit their vehicle and left the scene early Sunday morning in the 600 block of Hoskins Avenue.

The Lufkin Police Department made nine arrests late Friday night and Saturday. Other arrests and charges included Christopher Dove, 28, warrants; Cynthia Martinez, 26, no driver’s license; Cynthia Contreras, 28, warrants; Eddie Villanueva, 27, public intoxication; and Jakorus Denning, 26, speeding.

The Huntington Police Department made two arrests Friday night and Saturday. Arrests and charges included Phillip Ellis, 49, public intoxication; and Kenneth Morton, 67, public intoxication.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made two arrests Saturday and early Sunday. Arrests and charges included Amanda Jolene Fowler, 22, warrant; and Bradley Maxie, 23, burglary.

The Texas Department of Public Safety made two arrests Saturday. Arrests and charges included Ronald Read, 52, DWI and assault causing bodily injury; and Brittney Dawn Havard, 30, theft.

The Angelina County Jail housed 252 inmates as of 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
