A woman told Lufkin Police that she was punched and pepper-sprayed Monday afternoon by a group of people she doesn’t know while she was standing in her front yard in the 1000 block of Lloyd Street.

The group then reportedly drove away from her home in a green Chevy Trailblazer.

A woman believes $150 worth of jewelry was stolen by the moving company she hired to move her into an apartment complex in the 300 block of South John Redditt Drive.

She told police she had packed her jewelry in a tape-sealed box. Upon unpacking, she said, she found the box open and pulled apart. She said the items that had been inside of it — a Croton freshwater pearl watch and bracelet set — were missing. 

Funyuns, steak, goggles, soda, charcoal and beer were among the items Alejandro Martinez, 24, of Diboll reportedly tried to steal Monday afternoon from Walmart. He was arrested on theft charges.

Keena Brooks, 26, was arrested Tuesday afternoon after allegedly attempting to steal $266 worth of jeans, shirts, shoes and socks from Walmart.

A beer delivery truck driver reported having beer stolen out of his unattended truck Monday morning in the 800 block of North Timberland Drive.

A bicycle was reported stolen Sunday from outside an apartment in the 800 block of South Second Street.

More than $5,000 in damage was done to an apartment under reconstruction Monday afternoon in the 100 block of Kirksey Drive, according to police report.

A woman reported having her car window broken Monday afternoon in the 500 block of South John Redditt Drive.

A vehicle was reported broken into overnight Thursday in the 1200 block of Andrews Avenue.

A tablet computer was reported stolen from Jones Park Sunday night.

A cell phone was reportedly stolen Monday while its owner was at Grace Dunn Richardson Park.

A woman reported having her debit card used for online purchases she didn’t make.

A woman reported that her mother’s home in the 1700 block of Williams Street was broken into Monday while her mother was out of town.

The Lufkin Police Department made three other arrests late Monday and early Tuesday. Arrests and charges included: Jadarius Davis, 20, three Class C warrants; Miguel Monsivais, 21, unlawful carrying of a weapon and DWI; David Butterbaugh, 32, no seat belt and warrants.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made six arrests late Monday and early Tuesday. Arrests and charges included: Christopher Bailey, 29, DWI third; Brian Marshall, 50, parole hole; Franklin Robinson, 37, bench warrant; Barbara Wilson, 49, public intoxication; Austin Cates, 20, no driver’s license and no insurance; and Claude Welch, 53, probation revocation. 

The Hudson Police Department arrested Kendrick Hadnot, 23, on an adjudication of guilt charge Monday.

The Huntington Police Department arrested Alicia Meeks, 23, on four Class C warrants Monday.

The Angelina County Jail housed 228 inmates as of noon Tuesday.
