A Lufkin man was arrested Monday morning after allegedly stealing a cordless phone and mouthwash from the Dollar General on Atkinson Drive.
Patrick Johnson, 48, was taken into custody on a charge of theft with a previous conviction after allegedly attempting to steal an Emerson cord phone, Vtech cordless phone and Dollar General brand mouthwash, according to a Lufkin Police report.
Johnson remained in the Angelina County Jail Monday on a $1,500 bond.
A marijuana plant was found Monday afternoon on the back of a person’s property in the 1000 block of Ricks Road.
Someone attempted to break into a closed business in the 500 block of South Chestnut Street on Monday night.
Class C assault was reported Tuesday in the 1100 block of South Timberland Drive.
Public intoxication was reported Tuesday in the 1100 block of South Timberland Drive.
A man reported being assaulted with a beer bottle Tuesday in the 300 block of Homer Boulevard.
The front and back door of a home in the 3200 block of Ford Chapel Road was found open just before 1 a.m. Tuesday, but nothing was found to be missing.
A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle broken into Monday in the 700 block of South Timberland Drive.
A woman reported that her mother’s home in the 1800 block of East Denman Avenue was entered Monday.
A bike was reportedly stolen Monday from a home in the 1500 block of Cimmarron Street.
A laptop was reported stolen Monday from an unlocked vehicle in the 2400 block of West Frank Avenue.
A man’s cell phone was reportedly stolen from him while he was at Walmart Monday afternoon.
After her home burglar alarm went off, a woman went home to find her home had been entered but found nothing missing. A window screen was reportedly damaged in the apparent break-in.
The Lufkin Police Department made six arrests late Monday and early Tuesday. Arrests and charges included: Cedtreyvjon Runnels, 22, Class C warrant; Arnold Hood, 46, warrant; Justin Luna, 23, warrant on a ticket, possession of drug paraphernalia and theft; Randall Johnson, age not available, public intoxication; Corey Wilson, 26, driving while license invalid; and Nikki Wright, 22, driving while license invalid.
The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made three arrests late Monday and early Tuesday. Arrests and charges included: Walter Castillo, 21, driving while license invalid warrants; Cathryn Windham, 34, warrants for burglary of a building and resisting arrest; and Kane Dempster Jr., 33, adjudication of guilt.
The Angelina County Jail housed 233 inmates as of 10 a.m. Tuesday.
