An animal control officer responded to a report of two dogs killing a puppy Thursday. The dogs were actually playing with a dead raccoon.

A woman reported someone broke into her home in the 300 block of Stubblefield Drive Thursday.

A woman in the 2600 block of O’Quinn reported someone broke open her front door Thursday. She said she and her son attempted to run to her car and tried to leave, but that a man dressed in camo attempted to block them.

Someone stole medication and rings from a home in the 200 block of Knight on Thursday.

A horse keeps wandering onto property in the 3800 block of FM 2497. Animal Control has been unable to locate the owner.

A man reported someone has been crossing over his fence to hunt Thursday.

A man in the 3200 block of FM 2021 reported four dogs kept coming into his yard and tearing up the trash or eating cat food Thursday.

A woman in the 4400 block of U.S. Highway 59 north reported someone came onto her property and broke one of the wheels off her wagon Thursday.

A man reported someone stole several items from his home while he was in the hospital Thursday.

A man reported his neighbor’s two dogs attacked his 8-month-old dog Thursday.

A woman in the 200 block of Knight reported someone took her clothes without her permission Thursday.

A man reported his neighbor shot his dog Thursday because it went into the neighbor’s yard.

A man reported that someone cut the lock off his storage unit in the 1500 block of East Denman Avenue and took silver dollars valued at $600.

A drain cleaning machine was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Eastwood Place.

A woman cited for theft after being caught attempting to switch price tags on Hewlett Packard ink cartridges at Target.

Brett Standley, 31, was arrested after allegedly assaulting a woman in the 700 block of Lazy Oaks Street.

A woman in the 500 block of East Bremond Avenue reported being assaulted by her boyfriend.

A woman reported cash and phones stolen from her unlocked vehicle in the 700 block of Kiln Avenue.

A woman reported being assaulted by a man while they were playing basketball in the 2100 block of West Frank Avenue.

Rodney L. Wyrick, 36, was arrested for public intoxication following a report of a disturbance in the 100 block of Pershing Avenue.

Corey J. Ware, 33, was arrested for disorderly conduct-fighting following a report of a disturbance in a parking lot in the 2100 block of South First Street.

The Lufkin Police Department made 12 arrests late Thursday and early Friday. Arrests and charges included: Herchel Devon Martin, age unavailable, of Lufkin, warrants for theft, failure to appear; Courtney Daniel Warren, 32, of Lufkin, warrants for four counts of obstruction/retaliation; Meghan Leigh Robertson, 26, of Huntington, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and warrants for three counts of manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone and manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance; David Anthony Vines Jr., 41, of Spring, two counts of possession with intent to distribute; Stephen Jake Johnson, 52, of Lufkin, warrants for assault/family violence, possession of drug paraphernalia, inhumane treatment and public intoxication; Rebekah Ashley McEntire, 37, of Lufkin, warrant for dog at large; Amos Edward Simmons, 40, of Lufkin, warrants for traffic violations and violating promise to appear; Corey Ware, age unavailable, of Lufkin, disorderly conduct-fighting; Rodney Ledell Wyrick, age unavailable, of Lufkin, public intoxication; Percy James Taylor, 38, of Diboll, warrants for public intoxication and traffic violations; Leander Dejuan Jones, 47, of Barstel, California, public intoxication; and Jeremy Dewayne Obryant, 37, of Lufkin, assault/family violence.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made five arrests late Thursday and early Friday. Arrests and charges included: Amanda Marie Gamez, 32, of Lufkin, warrant for possession of a controlled substance; Elbert Harvey Ferguson Jr., 18, of Diboll, warrant for burglary of building; Lane Dale Worry, 23, of Huntington, warrant for possession of a controlled substance; Shayde Loving, age unavailable, of Corrigan, possession of drug paraphernalia; and Nicholas Butch Wheat, 22, of Shallowater, warrant for credit/debit card abuse.

The Huntington Police Department arrested Eric Dewayne Falvey, 31, of Groveton, for possession of drug paraphernalia and traffic violations.

The Angelina County Jail housed 219 inmates as of 4 p.m. Friday.
