A man reported that a woman he doesn’t know spat on and then keyed his vehicle Wednesday in the Walmart parking lot.

He said she also left a note complaining that he parked too close to her vehicle. He described her as a white woman who left in a red Dodge car.

A person reported that someone they know intentionally drove into their vehicle Thursday morning in the 1400 block of Ellis Avenue.

Tanya Raines, 36, was arrested on charges of theft and evading arrest after allegedly stealing merchandise from a store Wednesday night. She fled on foot from a Lufkin Police officer, but was caught several hundred yards away.

A roll of trash bags left outside a business was reported stolen Wednesday night in the 1900 block of West Frank Avenue.

A person saw someone stealing their cell phone from their vehicle Wednesday in the 800 block of Pershing Avenue. Upon confronting the suspect, the victim reported being threatened.

Car tires were reportedly slashed along with four speakers missing and the trunk damaged overnight Tuesday in the 500 block of Hodge Street.

A Blackberry along with its charger were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the Walmart parking lot Wednesday morning. The victim also said it appeared their vehicle had been keyed.

Property was reported stolen Tuesday from outside a home in the 1600 block of Houston Street.

Debit card fraud was reported Wednesday in the 100 block of Percy Simond Avenue.

A person reported being threatened Wednesday in retaliation for a previous report made to police.

A water heater was reported stolen from outside an apartment complex Wednesday in the 400 block of Montrose Street.

Items were reported stolen Wednesday from an unlocked vehicle in the 3500 block of South First Street.

A cell phone was reported stolen Wednesday in the 4600 block of South Medford Drive.

The Lufkin Police Department made five arrests late Thursday and early Friday.

Arrests and charges included: Robert Richard, 45, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance; Danny Davison, 29, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia; London Snotty, 19, warrants; Robert Criswell, 30, manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance; and Larry Young, 29, public intoxication.

The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office made five arrests late Thursday and early Friday.

Arrests and charges included: Amethyst Newson, 37, no insurance and no seat belt; Shawn Doggett, 33, bench warrant; Detrick Criswell, 37, probation revocation; Paul Winskie, 33, warrant; and Stacy Kelley, 31, possession of a controlled substance.

The Texas Department of Public Safety arrested Frederick James, 46, on a probation revocation Wednesday.

The Hudson Police Department made two arrests late Wednesday and early Thursday. Arrests and charges included: JaCorey Runner, 25, possession of marijuana; and Wayne Williams, 50, warrant.

The Angelina County Jail housed 219 inmates as of 2 p.m. Thursday.
