EDITORIAL: State and/or city should follow recommendation to ban cell phone use — texting or not — by drivers

Tuesday’s recommendation by the National Transportation Board to ban cell phone use — not just texting — by drivers looks like a prime case of “Better safe than sorry.” When it comes to protecting the lives of everyone on our nation’s roadways (which covers pretty much every human in the country), though, isn’t that the best policy?
