Gardening is beneficial in many ways. In these chaotic times, gardening grounds me. A walk around the yard helps me gain perspective on what is troubling me.

A morning glory I planted in April languished all summer without blooms. Then one day in late October, I was startled to find it covered in deep blue trumpet-shaped blossoms. Late bees were busy as they had discovered it long before me. A small neighbor boy was mesmerized by the blooms. We see beauty more clearly through the eyes of a small child.
