NACOGDOCHES — What Nacogdoches will be like as an interstate community is among the top concerns for a local committee assigned to work on the city’s comprehensive plan.

The group of approximately 20 residents that make up the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee has met faithfully for more than a year on topics such as future land use and housing and economic development. They were appointed by city council to work with DTJ Design, the firm hired to update the city’s comprehensive plan to include an Interstate 69 corridor study, among other plans.
