HUNTINGTON — Members of the Fuller Springs, Huntington and Zavalla volunteer fire departments spent Thursday night receiving first aid training from AJ Rose, an Allegiance Mobile Health paramedic, at Huntington City Hall.

Because Allegiance recently took over Angelina County’s emergency medical services, extrication and rescue calls are left up to the volunteer fire departments, said Chris Wade, Zavalla fire chief. Wade reached out to Justin Cude, Allegiance’s regional vice president, and together the two men set up the training. Cude told Wade Allegiance is all about helping the communities they serve.
