Women gathered Tuesday to eat lunch and learn more about maintaining physical and mental health from professionals in the community at the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce’s “Women’s Networking Event”

“We know that the women are typically the medical decision makers of the family,” chamber president Tara Watson-Watkins said. “Throughout COVID, we all put ourselves behind on check-ups. We know that there has been an increase in cancer, and so many different medical procedures because of the fact that we could not take care of ourselves, and so today we just want to remind our women investors, and the public, that it is vital to get back to doing routine check-ups.”
