The U.S. Department of Treasury has allocated $16.8 million for Angelina County as part of the American Rescue Plan local government funding, according to the Treasury website.

The money can be used in support of public health expenditures, to address negative economic impacts caused by the public health emergency, to replace lost public sector revenue, to provide premium pay for essential workers or to invest in water, sewer and broadband infrastructures.
