An argument between a Huntington woman and two men over a cell phone early Tuesday morning ended with a machete attack followed by sweet potatoes being thrown at the woman’s home on Ben Williams Road.

The woman said she forced the men out of her home around 2 a.m. after the phone argument, but they broke the door lock, according to a sheriff’s office report. The men forced their way back inside, the woman said, and one of them hit her repeatedly with the side of a machete. The woman said eventually the duo left — though she couldn’t remember how — but not before throwing sweet potatoes at her home.
