Lufkin Police arrested a man who allegedly attempted to flee.

Prior to the arrest, someone reported a man lying in the middle of the road in the 700 block of Sayers Street, according to a Lufkin police report. Officers arrived to find Juan Garcia Rodriguez, 27, of Lufkin, who reportedly attempted to run, only to fall to the ground after they shouted for him to stop. Once in custody, Rodriguez told the officers he thought someone had mixed K2 into his marijuana. He was charged with a count of public intoxication, and was found to have a warrant for public intoxication as well.
