The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) on Friday released its list All-Academic honors, and once again the Angelina College softball team landed among those mentioned.

Angelina College has announced the suspension of the fall 2020 soccer season because of the ongoing risks associated with COVID-19. The announcement includes both the women’s and men’s programs, with hopes of resuming action in the fall of 2021.

NACOGDOCHES — SFA baseball and director of athletics Ryan Ivey recently announced the addition of an indoor pitching lab to the SFA Baseball facility. The 4,800-square-foot indoor space will provide a space for SFA pitchers to improve their craft and is set to be ready in time for the 2021 season.

SHREVEPORT — Simran Mayfield hit a driving, twisting layup with 5.7 seconds to play in a tie game, lifting the Angelina College Lady Roadrunners to a 52-50 win over Panola College in Wednesday’s Region XIV Conference Championship Tournament at Centenary College in Shreveport.

This time last year, the Angelina College Lady Roadrunners were on the verge of making college history. They were just days away from winning the Region XIV Conference Championship tournament in Shreveport, Louisiana, becoming the first AC women’s team to qualify for the national tournament.

With the conference tournament starting this week, the Angelina College Lady Roadrunners spent Saturday afternoon showing their “A game” can match up with anybody in their path. Shortly after, the Roadrunners showed they don’t need to be anywhere near their best in order to get a win.
