PINES — Water level is about five inches low and clear. Water temp in the low 70s.

Jim Tutt says bass are hit or miss up north with Senkos and swim baits producing the best bite in a foot of water. Farther south, square bills and swim baits are the best bets on windy points in shallow water. Crappie fishing is excellent in 15-20 feet around standing timber and brush piles. No report on catfish.
